Anoura is a Fulani word which means “light” in French. By combining the word “info” with Anoura, we get the name Anoura.info, which literally means “information that guides”.

Our vision is to support the growth of a community information service that gives residents of the Douentza, Ansongo and Ménaka circles in Mali the means to act in times of crisis, particularly in the event of displacement.

Launched in Mali in 2023, Anoura.info is part of the International Rescue Committee (IRC ) global Signpost program , which uses social media, websites and other communications channels to provide reliable and reliable information products. timely and enable two-way communication with people in crisis situations. Signpost is the world's first scalable community information program. It makes user-friendly information available to people who need it most and combines it with staffed, two-way communication channels for people looking for personalized help.

What is the mission of Anoura.info in Mali?

In Mali, Anoura.info supports displaced people, refugees, migrants and host communities by empowering them to know their options and make informed decisions about accessing services basic social, migration and justice.

Like other countries where the Signpost program is implemented, Anoura.info is a responsive information service platform. This means that the content we share is developed in response to the information needs expressed by the communities we serve.

Anoura.info has a highly qualified team. We provide communities with information in French and English. In addition, we have a telephone helpline that community members can call to access our information content and make informed decisions about accessing basic social services, justice and migration.

On Anoura.info , we also provide you with an interactive map of service provider organizations and detailed contact details of service providers such as hospitals, NGOs, national public structures, etc.

We also have a Facebook page where we share information products with the community.  Our team of moderators responds to messages and comments received via Messenger and the Anoura.Info Facebook page from Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. 

In Mali, Anoura.info also works closely with radio stations (Radio Seyna in Ansongo, Radio Daande in Douentza and Radio Rurale in Menaka) to ensure that the population has access to accurate and comprehensive information on basic social services to help them make informed decisions.
